Treasure Island Fall Adventure Camp


Got adventure sports in your veins? This is a day and overnight camp for adventures who want to experience a variety of exciting outdoor pursuits.

 

Children and teens will develop outdoor leadership skills such as trip preparation, equipment management and self-organisation including a whole lot of fun! Adventure Camp has different outdoor pursuits every day, in various locations on Lantau and Cheung Chau islands, with an overnight camping experience (usually from Thursday to Friday).

Lunch and snacks are included daily. Adventure Campers must be capable and confident swimmers with good overall fitness and stamina.

Typical Planned Programme

  • Day 1: Gorging (Pui O, Lantau)
  • Day 2: Rock Climbing & Abseiling (Cheung Chau)
  • Day 3: Biking & Trip Planning (Mui Wo, Lantau)
  • Day 4: Overnight expedition: Hiking, fire-making & cooking, shelter building (Lantau)
  • Day 5: Water Activities (Pui O, Lantau)

Pick up & Drop off

Children will be picked up from Central Ferry Pier #6 every morning at 7:45am and dropped off every afternoon at 4:40pm at the same place. All children are required to be signed in and out each morning and afternoon by a parent or approved guardian over the age of 18. It’s imperative you arrive on time.

Safety and Supervision

Safety is number 1 value. All instructors are first aid certified and have undergone onsite training and assessments to operate our activities. Supervision is monitored through risk assessments and ratios are set for each of activities. All technical activities have a 1:8 ratio Leader to Student and non-technical activities are 1:15. Adventure Camp includes contingency activities for poor weather conditions. TIG reserves the right to modify or cancel activities as necessary for the well-being and safety of campers.

What to Bring

  • Sun Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water Bottle
  • Swimsuit/Board Shoarts, Rash Guard/Top
  • Plastic Bag for wet clothes
  • Towel
  • Rain Jacket
  • Closed toe shoes (water shoes), NOT Crocs
  • Personal Medication (asthma inhaler, allergy medicine etc.)
  • Change of clothes for after activities
  • Octopus card with a minimum of HK$200 or money for the ferry. (Ferry transportation is not included in camp fee)
