ProjectHK by Twinkle Dance Company is the very first photography project dedicated to highlight Hong Kong scenic and children dancers.

It aims to present the city globally with the novel concept combining performing and visual arts. The project features various everyday-life scenes and iconic spots in Hong Kong, with young dancers dressed in local-themed costumes designed by Tutulamb, a Hong Kong dance wear brand.

While displaying the talent of young local dancers, with rich visual content, the on-going project captures both the city’s stillness and energy, ingeniously showcases Hong Kong, its beauty, dynamics and spirits through the universal language of photography.

As Hong Kong’s first photography project dedicated to highlight the city’s scenic and children dancers, ProjectHK features young local talent at some of the city’s most photogenic spots. From the busy streets in Central, to Mong Kong open air markets, Bamboo Theatre and even Hollywood blockbuster filming locations. Each image aims to capture Hong Kong’s stillness and energy, ingeniously showcasing its beauty, dynamics and spirits to the word using the universal language of photography.

Meanwhile, featured costumes also exhibit local dancewear brand Tutulamb’s boundless creativity. Designs of local-themed costume were inspired by elements depicting everyday Hong Kong life, like the iconic flashing neon signs, transportations, even traditional Chinese calligraphy.

With ProjectHK, Twinkle Dance Company wishes to draw the public’s attention to children’s inestimable potential. “We wish to show everyone it’s possible for children to do the same. Jumping, leaping, dancing and posing for the camera in the city just like adult dancers from professional dance companies.” said Twinkle Dance Company Founder and Director Twinkle Lam.
