This January, our new cross-platform series The Fourth Wall explores the use of the arts and humour in everyday life.
In this two-hour creative participatory workshop, veteran mime performer Eric Chan shares the art of making people laugh with the wordless art of clowning and mime. Guiding participants through basic poses and techniques, Chan introduces a carefully designed series of improvisation exercises and games garnered from over 20 years of practice. Through individual and group activities that encourage physical interaction and unlock the body’s potential for humour, participants discover the magical power of silent human gesture to entertain and delight in unexpected ways.
Other events in the Arts and Humour series:
Live and Laugh – Talk with performing artists Chan Siu-tung, Jordan Leung (aka 69ranch) and Tung Tung (Pomato Studio)
Finding the Funny Side of Life – Workshop with stand-up comedian Vivek Mahbubani
