Abu Dhabi Racing



Abu Dhabi Racing is an Abu Dhabi-based company developing initiatives designed to bolster the Emirate’s presence in global motorsport.

 

The Abu Dhabi Racing board features two active rally and racing drivers. The chairman, Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi, is one of the UAE’s most experienced rally drivers, This season, he is contesting in four events in the FIA World Rally Championship with the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team, and spearheading a six-car Abu Dhabi Racing team in the FIA Middle East Rally Championship.

The Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Racing, Khaled Al Qubaisi, is one of the UAE’s leading circuit racing drivers and a winner of the Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai in 2012 and 2013 with Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon, as well as the 2013 Gulf 12 Hours. He is also the first Emirati to contest in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Via strategic relationships with Abu Dhabi-based motorsport stakeholders – including Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management, Yas Marina Circuit and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority - the primary objective for Abu Dhabi Racing is to increase Emirati participation in various global motorsport series, including off-road and circuit-based disciplines.
