As part of the on-going of Al Ain Cultural Programme, Al Ain National Museum and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi have announced that the month of April will be dedicated to the historical pearl diving industry in the UAE, with a special focus on Al-Tous, a bowl-shaped tool used to measure pearls, as the Star Object of the Month.
The Star Object of the Month programme, which consists of educational workshops, aims to educate children and highlight historical objects displayed in the museum that are integral to UAE heritage and tradition. Each month a star object is carefully selected by the museum team. Workshops will be held at the museum on every Tuesday in April at 10:00am and are designed for children aged 10 and above to enjoy.
