October kicks off with the acclaimed Lebanese coming-of-age war drama 1982 by director Oualid Mouaness.
Starring Nadine Labaki, the film tells the tale of an 11-year-old boy, Wissam, who is trying to find the courage to tell his classmate Joanna that he loves her. Before he can do so an airstrike hits Beirut and the war begins.
On the last day of school in the mountains, during the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, 11-year-old Wissam is determined to tell his classmate Joanna that he loves her, while his teachers - on different sides of the political divide - try to mask their fears.
The release of 1982 is in collaboration with Front Row Filmed Entertainment.
