Course objectives:
- Immerse students into speech and debate practices
- Practice with improv speeches and interactive activities
- Develop skills in presentation and the confidence they need to approach real-life public speaking scenarios
- Learn the nuances of communication skills and their application in everyday life
Skills developed: Public speaking, research, collaboration, presentation, speech writing, debating.
By the end of the class: Your student will have the chance to showcase their strategic communication skills by participating in a series of speech and debate challenges.
Materials needed: Writing materials, paper, everyday objects from their room.
About the class: Classes meet once a week for five weeks. Each class meeting will last 75 minutes.
