Special Family Activations for Eid Al-Fitr.
Family workshops are designed for participants to learn about Eid rituals and how the idea of giving is a universal language, inspired by the museum's art collection. Each day will offer two drop-in workshop sessions.

Workshop #1

Make a Coin
Friday and Sunday, March 20 & 22
Inspired by the tradition of Eidiya, a traditional gift of money, or sometimes toys/sweets, participants will create their own coins by using an aluminum foil leaf work inspired by the museum’s coins collection such as the coin from (Dinar of the Reign of Harun al-Rashid , Solidus of the Reign of Tiberius III, and the Circular Coin from China).

Workshop #2

Make a Greeting card
Saturday, March 21
Special workshop celebrating Mother’s Day.

This activity is inspired by the joy and cheerful colours of Paul Klee’s artwork titled, Oriental Bliss.
Participants will diffuse their Eid rituals inspired by Paul Klee’s style to make greeting cards or envelopes for their dear ones, with special dedication to their mothers.

A 45 minutes guided tour in our galleries to discover the highlights of the museum’s collections with one of our Museum Educators.

Art in Scents Experience

Saturday 21 March
INDIVIDUAL VISITS: 3:00PM
GROUPS VISITS: 12:30 PM
An immersive experience that invites visitors to discover art through the sense of smell. The guided experience includes a specially produced Art in Scents book. Each page releases a unique fragrance inspired by a selected artwork from the museum’s collection. Using micro-encapsulation technology, the scents are embedded directly into the booklet pages, allowing visitors to engage with the artworks through the universal language of smell.
