N2N Gallery is honored to announce the upcoming exhibition “Sociopolis” by renowned Ukrainian artist Andriy Bludov. Andriy is a Ukrainian Postwar & Contemporary painter, born in 1962, lives and works as Professor of Painting in the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kiev.
He has been actively participating in exhibitions worldwide since 2000. His works can be found in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, near and far abroad, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Sumy Art Museum, Khmelnytsky Art Museum and Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
The new series of works by Andriy Bludov is an attempt to depict how energy looks like; that which we often feel, but do not see. This energy unites the city with invisible threads, tying everything around with each other. Bludov perceives city as a living organism, humans as its cells, connected with a whole set of living threads through which energy and information are transmitted.
Looking, through the keyhole of the world, at the connection point of all possible points, one can discern the interconnection of all phenomena in the world. This view is now focused on the metaphysics of the city, in which houses are represented as graphical cutaways. Through the transparent walls, the attributes of human habitation are visible. The nakedness and insecurity of these home spaces is an allegory of symbolic vibrations of roads, electric wires, the internet and many other communication channels, the core of which is an individual.
With this series, we aim to represent something unique and thought provoking. Bludov’s technique is eye capturing and shall exemplify your walls, inviting a range of perceptions from any viewer.
The exhibition will run from 13th of December 2020 until 13th of January 2021. We welcome you all for a distinctive art experience with absolute safety and precautionary measures in place.
