‘The Souk’ is a unique and the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi. It was built to showcase Arabian architecture and reflect traditional Arab hospitality and generosity. Located between the Maqtaa and Musaffah bridges in Abu Dhabi, The Souk is the latest among a string of projects being developed in the Qaryat Al Beri area, adjacent to the Shangril-La Abu Dhabi. Qaryat al beri is one of the most distinguished waterfront projects in Abu Dhabi.
Built on two levels, The Souk is an interesting fusion of Arabian architecture with a Venetian theme. Water canals meander through The Souk and nearby properties with abras ferrying hotel guests from the Shangri-La to various locations.
Several restaurants and coffee shops have alfresco dining terraces that overlook the waters and accord a view of the picturesque landscape. Well-known restaurants will also serve international cuisine including Italian, Japanese, Arabic, and Indian varieties.
Spread over a total floor area of 6,222 square meters comprising retail and F&B outlets, The Souk promises to be the ultimate destination not only for tourists but also for Abu Dhabi residents.
