The egg drop challenge is a popular way to introduce motion and energy to students around the world. This Easter we thought we’d use eggs for something other than colouring! In this workshop children will create a “safe” package around an egg and then release it from different heights to see if their package worked. This project typically relates to lessons about Newton’s laws of motion or potential and kinetic energy. It is also a great way for children to practice the engineering design processes, use critical thinking and problem solving and reasoning skills.
