Let's Talk: Mindful Parenting - Boundaries, with Jo Jewell

Let's Talk: Boundaries - Why and how we set them for children and adolescents from a Mindful Parenting perspective.

Wednesday 9th October, 6.30 - 7.30 pm in the Auditorium. Parents of children of all ages are invited.

Boundaries is a topic that forms a key part of the work Jo does with individuals and families and they are particularly relevant to parenting and raising children in today’s digital world. During this session, Jo will explain what boundaries are, and aren’t, presenting evidence-based research on the topic that has been conducted over the last 15 years. She will discuss where boundaries come from, how and when they should be used and the impact for both children, adolescents and parents. This session is aimed at all age ranges and Jo will incorporate the different strategies for different age groups of children.

Jo Jewell is a mum of 3 boys, a UK qualified child, and adolescent counsellor, Mindfulness teacher and a Parent Coach at Mindful Me, Dubai. She is also a Gottman trained couples therapist and works with both couples and individuals to support them in living a more authentic, fulfilling life. In addition, Jo provides corporate and school workshops for teachers, students and parents on a variety of topics supporting well-being and mental health. She has been living in the UAE for 13 years, worked as a School Counsellor for 8 of those years and then founded Joanne Jewell - Mindful Parenting UAE to support parents and families specifically from an evidence-based, mindfulness perspective.
