Down to Earth

For the culture-enthusiasts, the eco-conscious and sustainability-aware, the UAE’s annual green gathering Down to Earth is back with a cause – on Saturday, November 25, 2023 taking place at Jameel Arts Centre and across the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park, Dubai!

The fourth edition of the crowd-favourite gathering coincides with the UAE Year of Sustainability and takes place just days ahead of COP28 UAE, connecting the local community with the themes of the world’s most important forum for climate action. In consideration of the current tragedy in Palestine, the ‘Down to Earth’ programme will be closely connected to this cause, including opportunities to support, learn and gather together. Explore on-site donations through the Emirates Red Crescent’s Tarahum – For Gaza campaign, and claim a range of sustainable and artisanal items.

Free and open to everyone, Down to Earth features activities for all ages themed around botanical, sustainable and eco-conscious living through making workshops, tours, talks and demonstrations, plus new interactive art installations, experiential performances and a range of exhibitions.

Spanning across Jameel Arts Centre and the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park, the event also includes a Green Bazaar, offering a broad variety of indoor and outdoor plants, eco-friendly and sustainable gifts, fashion and products from homegrown businesses, plus an exclusive sustainability-themed collection of books and design objects from the Art Jameel Shop.

Teible, the Michelin Green Star and Bib Gourmand-awarded farm-to-table restaurant will be open for dine-in throughout the day with a menu featuring seasonal and local ingredients.

Stay tuned for the day-long programme!
