What is Propelinos?
Propelinos is a fun and engaging programme aimed at providing life skills beyond schools to 6-11-year olds around the world and nurturing their happiness and success, be it in academic or personal, present or future, or any other aspect of their lives. The programme will launch on the 16th of January, 2020, in both Dubai and London, and will cover the following concepts: Growth Mindset, Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence.
The Four Concepts
We aim to achieve this through a well-structured, high-quality, engaging yet impactful programme created by psychologists.
The programme will cover four important life concepts:
1. Growth Mindset
Growth Mindset challenges the idea that one is born with a finite and fixed skillset and reinforces that an individual can achieve success in any area through effort, learning and dedication. Youngsters with a growth mindset relish the process of learning, not achievement, enabling them to move outside their comfort zone and explore their passion.
The Growth Mindset concept includes the following four sessions:
- The Human Brain
- Embracing Challenges
- Positive Mentality
- Focusing Effort

2. Resilience
Resilience is the capability to bounce back from stress, adversity, setbacks and challenges. It is not inherent but rather a skill that is developed over time. Resilient youngsters tend to view setbacks as opportunities for growth and are more likely to take healthy risks.
The Resilience concept includes the following four sessions:
- Mental Toughness
- Locus of Control
- Stress vs Pressure
- Overcoming Failure

3. Emotional Intelligence
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand and manage one’s and others’ emotions. It is fluid and can be enhanced through learning. Youngsters with a moderately high level of emotional intelligence use feelings to identify and solve challenges, communicate with others and make decisions.
The Emotional Intelligence concept includes the following four sessions:
- Mindfulness
- Understanding Emotions
- Managing Emotions
- Confidence

4. Social Intelligence
Social Intelligence centres around the ability to build successful relationships and navigate social environments. It is acquired through social exposure, experience and learning. Youngsters with high social intelligence are, for instance, more likely than others to be able to deal with bullying.
The Social Intelligence concept includes the following four sessions:
- Personality Types
- Conflict Management
- Effective Communication
- Teamwork
