ACT3i Festival for Children

ACT3i Festival for Children

Welcome to the ACT3i Festival for Children, a celebration of Arts and Theatre specifically catered for babies and early years

The second instalment of ACT3i Festival for Children is back by popular demand and promises exciting performances for this unique age group. With a strong passion to feed young minds, build imagination and support developmental growth, the purpose for this festival is to share the cruciality and importance of early years arts and that it should be established at the very first stage of life. Curating and presenting immersive and sensorial Children’s Theatre performances from all over the world, each and every story will surprise, fascinate and stimulate little ones to observe, reach out and interact.

This year, the festival will be held once again at the historical Asian Civilisations Museum. We are very fortunate to continue our partnership with them for the second year and hope that you will enjoy your time spent in this majestic venue.

Based entirely on the wonderful collection of Greek storyteller Aesop’s most famous fables, this exciting programme will begin with a 20-minute performance told within an Asian-inspired art installation setting. After watching the performance, your child will join other children and take turns participating in two very special 30-minute workshops.

In Drama, your child will learn to move and physicalise actions with creative expression as the many different animal characters from the stories! In Music and Movement, he will pick up the skills needed to follow a tune, memorise lyrics and move to the music, all at one go!

Right before the programme ends, join these dedicated children as they take you on a glorious procession around the museum, an architectural landmark filled with more than 100 years of history. Last but not least, be awed as they present a finale performance on the steps of the museum’s front porch as you take in the aura of time gone by.
