At CIMS, we strive to provide our students with opportunities for success and celebrate their achievements. We are proud of our many students who have successfully attained high achievements in these areas – Direct School Admission (DSA), National Competitions, Grading Examinations.
Our syllabus is based on the Teng Academy Graded Examinations for Chinese Music Instruments. Students also have the option to learn under the NAFA (CCOM) syllabus or for leisure learning. Our one-to-one classes are 45 minutes long and 60 minutes for group classes (2-4pax).
The 4 levels of learning are categorized based on the syllabus, Beginners (Grade 1-3), Intermediate (Grade 4-6), Advanced (Grade 7-8), and Professional (Certificate in Professional Performance – Diploma).
Our music programs are suitable for all ages, and are specially tailored according to the needs of each unique student. Our teachers take pride in helping our students reach their fullest potential.
Founded in 2018, Chinese Instrumental Music School (CIMS) was founded by two local musicians who are passionate about bringing out the best in our students. Here at CIMS, we believe that every child has a unique musical potential and we are committed to tailoring our lessons to the needs of each student.
We pride ourselves on having some of the finest teachers and performers in Singapore who are experienced in nurturing students to achieve their best. Our interactive music curriculum has helped over 100 students excel musically and academically, with students being successful in getting into their school of choice through DSA and achieving distinction in instrumental performances for their grading examinations.
