Rasas – Introduction to Balinese Wayang Wong

Rarely performed even in Bali, wayang wong is a traditional dance-theatre form that is most notable for the elaborate masks and highly stylised movements that it uses to tell the stories of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana.

In this workshop, learn more about this elusive art form and try some of the basic movements that distinguish it from the other dance forms of Bali.
