Programmes for children aged 18 months to 6 years old

Founded in 2002, Rainbow Cove is a Montessori pre-school registered with the Singapore Ministry of Education offering programmes for children aged 18 months to 6 years. Our teachers and curriculum cater to the individual needs of children, gently encouraging the child to learn at his or her own pace while developing world knowledge and life skill.

MONTESSORI EDUCATION

Montessori education is a globally-acknowledged educational approach which emphasizes independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child’s natural cognitive, physical and social development.

REGGIO EMILIA

As part of our curriculum we have integrated the Reggio Emilia approach, an educational philosophy developed in Italy which dovetails with Montessori education. This approach essentially allows the child to direct his or her own learning. Teaching in our school is thus tailored to match the interests, needs and learning pace of each child.

BILINGUAL PROGRAMME

We also focus very much on developing the child’s interest in other areas of life besides the academic. Our bilingual programme is anchored by native Chinese teachers who not only teach, but also converse with the children in Mandarin in an informal setting every day, ensuring maximum exposure to the language
