Elementary and Secondary Open House

Give your child a greater insight: through their Global Mentor Program.

As adults, they always remember the fascination and respect they felt on meeting someone whose lives inspired their compatriots – or the whole world. They may have been Nobel Laureates, sporting heroes, statesmen, artists, or captains of industry.

Their Global Mentor Program provides students with a memorable opportunity to meet some of these inspirational figures and learn, first-hand, how they too, can achieve beyond
their dreams. A lasting impression they take with them as they navigate their own ambitions.

Their Mentors are highly respected leaders from many walks of life and are delighted to pass on the benefit of their wisdom to potential future successors.

Some of the Global Mentors who have visited Stamford American includes:

  • Nobel Prize Winners - Nobel Laureates honored for their life-changing contributions share their views and experiences with Stamford students, who are inspired by this unique opportunity. Students have even had the opportunity to compete against their sporting heroes. As an example, their Stamford competitive swim squad trained and relayed against American Olympic Medalists and World Record Swimmers Jessica Hardy, David Plummer, Micah Lawrence, Kevin Cordes and Nathan Adrian.
