Pods was founded with a mission to instill in children the love of inquiry and learning, to nurture their individual talents, and to build essential character.

They hope students who begin their educational journey with them will graduate with intellectual curiosity, academic ability, solid character and communication skills, critical to excel in primary school and beyond.

Their integrative curriculum nurtures individual talents while maintaining the rigor and academic excellence of conventional teaching methods. Developed by a team of experienced childhood educators, their multiple intelligence curriculum approach focuses first on the outcomes desired, then working backwards, plots the steps that will produce those outcomes. To ensure a seamless and progressive learning experience for Pods learners, their playgroup, pre-nursery, kindergarten and enrichment curriculums are based on the same set of core principles and well-established factors, including the school's mission, teaching approach and local educational standards. The curriculum’s learning objectives are guided by both knowledge of typical child development and by awareness of individual differences in learning style, interest, strength, growth pattern, personality and family background.

A core component of their curriculum is the emphasis on language proficiency. As citizens of a rapidly shrinking world, students will achieve proficiency in two written languages (Chinese and English) and fluency in three spoken languages (Cantonese, Mandarin and English).

Programs:

Playgroup 10 - 24 months - Children at this age actively use their five senses to explore the world around them. An extension of the kindergarten’s multiple intelligence curriculum, each teaching plan is subsequently divided into focused areas in physical development, sensory and motor skills, literacy and arts, music and movement, to support and stimulate these young learners’ development in all areas.
Pre-Nursery 2 -3 years old - As students embark on the road to learning, it is an extraordinary time of cognitive, emotional and physical growth. At Pods, they understand the importance to create a trusting, supportive and safe environment for children to explore a new environment and new relationships.
Kindergarten 4 - 6 years old - Incorporating components of a rigorously researched and internationally renowned curriculum, their teaching plan is completed and enriched with interest areas in art, music, discovery-based science, athletics and extracurricular opportunities. They support each child to acquire the social and academic skills needed to interact and explore the world as a confident and effective learner.
Enrichment Programs 2 - 6 years old - Enrichment Programs are offered from Monday to Saturday to encourage students to explore deeper into an interest area and to develop a wider range of skills. Carefully selected by the school, these programs foster different intelligence and talent, and are conducted by top quality teachers. Programs will cover areas ranging from speech, drama, art to language, music and movement. Their summer enrichment programs also act as transitional classes to prepare students for the upcoming school year’s learning environment and class structure.
