A Night of Eastern and Western Echoes "UAE Classical Talents"

For the fourth concert of this fourth season of the UAE Classical Talents Series, we welcome two returning artists, pianist Jelena Matvejevskaja and violinist Nicolas Mann.

The violin as a solo instrument has been widely used throughout the ages both in classical music and popular music in all parts of Europe. Classical music composers took a lot of inspiration from the local folklore of both eastern and western parts of the old continent for their classical compositions.

For this concert, Jelena and Nicolas are inviting us to this East meets West repertoire, performing the beautiful echoes of the violin and the piano with works by Bach, Bloch, Sarasate, Pärt, Lecuona, Berliner and Tchaikovsky.
