Little Champions Nursery aims to provide a caring, stimulating learning and social environment in which all children can flourish.

Little Champion Nursery understands the importance of the process of development and it promotes children ability to discover their own interests and explore their own ways of play and creativity.

Little Champions Nursery's essential task is to encourage children to new activities. Moreover, it is ready to offer your children an opportunity to take a part in Little Champions Nursery's own theatre for kids. Taking part in drama class will help kids to be more confident and strengthen their courage. Besides that, it is offering a physical activity for kids, as physical exercises rise and strengthen health and overall wellness.

Curriculum and activities

Little Champion Nursery's Academic Curriculum is Early Years Foundation Stage practice (UK). Through play, they introduce colours, shapes, numbers, and of course the alphabet, but the primary focus is teaching children social skills. Little Champion Nursery helps them to develop confidence in their own ability and other important concepts such as being patient, being polite, well mannered and kind to other children. 

Young children learn through experiences, through imitation and by being actively involved in their own world. At Little Champions Nursery, a child’s natural sense of awe and wonderment about the world around them is nurtured through art, movement, story, and language. The nursery’s play based constructivist curriculum encourages children to express and build meaning through their experiences.

Physical development

Fine motor - gross motor - dexterity - skills - strength - muscles - growth

  •  Children show good control and co-ordination in large and small movements.
  •  They move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space.
  •  They handle equipment and tools effectively, including pencils for writing. 

Health & self-care:

  •  Children know the importance of the good health of physical exercise, and a healthy diet, and talk about ways to keep healthy and safe.
  •  They manage their own basic hygiene and personal needs successfully, including dressing and going to the toilet independently.

Communication & language

Verbal and non-verbal speech, body language, facial expression

Literacy

Children use phonic knowledge to decode regular words and read them aloud accurately.

  • Kids read and understand simple sentences.
  • Children also read some common irregular words.
  • Kids demonstrate understanding when talking with others about what they have read or heard.

Writing

  • Children use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways which match their spoken sounds.
  • Kids also write some irregular common words.

Mathematics

Children are supported in developing their understanding of problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy in a broad range of contexts in which they can explore, learn, practice and talk. We provide opportunities to use number names, through interactive games and songs. To develop confidence using language such as more, less, bigger, smaller etc.
