Otaku ME Modeler's Cup
General Guidelines for the event:
3 Easy Steps closer to building an army!
- Build the newly released 1/144 HGAC Leo kit
- Modify it to fit your team or Army as a Commander or Lead Mobile Suit and,
- Enter it to the OtakuME LEO PALOOZA kit themed fun build!
Mechanics: The base kit must be the latest released 1/144 HGAC Leo kit from Bandai.
NO restrictions on modifications, scratch building, kit-bash parts, or add-on parts. Just have fun, go all out and crazy original, do it as per your concepts to fit a certain theme for your Leo Kit, as long as it is not a Tallgeese design variant though, we know you can do better than that? Accept the challenge and again….
Be original as much as you can. Painting? Why not, if you think paint can spice up and convey your concept more for your original build. However, remember that it is not a competition just focusing on technicalities but rather it should be a quick fun build for all participants. Not your standard technical Gunpla competitions.
No Diorama this time around to let builders concentrate on their respective kit builds. However, a simple base will do (base that does not convey a certain element of a scene, emotion or interaction with the model, the base is just for display or support purpose).
Judging:
- The most original in terms of concept wins!
- Not the best painted, modified but the most original.
- Again, Concept and originality WINS!
- Originality (40%) Using the Leo as a base kit to create an original design.
- Concept Execution (40%) Transition of the build from the general leo kit form to the modifications is in-lined with the overall concept of the builder.
- Overall Impact of The Build (20%) As a whole, the build should have the quality to attract attention, drawing you closer to take a second look at the form, modifications, details and concept.
