Another new group! July-September babies.
Days: Wednesdays
Time: 11.30 - 13.00
Term Dates: 14 April - 23 June, 2021.
And the new term has started! We had our first playgroup with August Babies this week, and it was just lovely. How am I lucky to be always joined by such kind and curious moms?
We still have space for other families to join (maximum is 6)! We are looking for end of July, August, or beginning of September babies.
We follow the PEKiP program meaning that we provide babies and parents with new materials and playing ideas and let everyone explore at their own pace and in their own way.
We support babies' own interests and can adapt our activities according to them.
Each group is different, and all activities are chosen depending on the current group member's abilities and interests.
This age is, of course, highlighted with independent movement in space (crawling). And that allows babies to explore their independence and to interact with their babies if they want to.
I will propose games that help them to establish their crawling and standing, will guide you through any questions that you might have along the way.
We encourage them to exercise their strength and balance, their gross and fine motor skills, spatial intelligence and sensory integration, speech and communication etc.
But with all the "big words" behind our activities, there're no right or wrong results, or skills to demonstrate on demand.
The main thing for me is to create an environment where all children and parents can feel as comfortable as they can to explore and get new experiences in a safe space at their own pace.
I also encourage parents to exchange their experiences at the playgroup, support each other, and, if there's a need, I can answer their questions on infant development, depending on what's on their minds at the moment.
Each playgroup is different, not only because there's no ready-made program, but also because it depends a lot on families that join together, what their requests and needs are etc.
