Helen Ainsworth ARAD PDTD founded The National Ballet Studio in 2013.

"I have always been driven by a passion to provide the best classical training possible, believing Ballet is the foundation of all dance. With this in mind TNBS is constantly exploring and developing training methods and techniques to achieve that mission.

I believe that students should be taught not just good ballet technique but good etiquette and work ethic. I am so proud of the wonderful way The National Ballet Studio students treat each other and the responsibility they demonstrate backstage.

I believe that students should be prepared for auditions and workshops by taking unset ballet class, exams by taking syllabus class and the stage by performing as regularly as possible. Their knowledge of ballet should extend to and excellent understanding of terms and technique, history and repertoire, and current schools and companies.

I believe that students should have an equal opportunity to perform solos and lead roles, and I strive to give this to every student with hard work and improvement being celebrated as well as excellent technique."

In August 2018 TNBS hosted the Middle Easts first Progressions in Ballet Technique Teaching course. This was attended by teachers from the GCC region.

TNBS Teachers regularly attend Royal Academy of Dance CPD courses.

Through the classes and training on offer at TNBS students that have studied with us have been awarded places at:

Royal Ballet Hong Kong and London intensives,
Summer School at English National Ballet,
Summer School at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance
Summer School with Australian Ballet School
Brisbane Youth Ballet
Ballet West

The opportunities we offer the students extend from regular classes to also included

Master classes with Principals of Stuttgart Ballet, David Moore
Master classes with Principal of the Royal Ballet Company Yasmine Nagdhi
Private coaching from Stuttgart Ballet Corps member Paula Rezende
Master classes from Royal Ballet Alumni and soloist at Pittsburgh Ballet William Moore
TNBS students were invited to attend master classes at Dubai Opera lead by LA Dance Company and to observe class with Houston Ballet.
