Water Marbling also known as Ebru art is a 15th century-old art form where paint is floated on water, special tools are used to create designs and patterns, and then the image is captured by placing paper or fabric (or other porous materials) on top of the water where it is immediately transferred and permanently affixed.
This course is an introduction to this mystical art form where you will learn basic water marbling techniques. You will use simple tools such as rakes, sticks, combs, and splatter brushes to create a unique, one-of-a-kind design and then transfer to a 100% Habotai silk scarf(8" x 54") All supplies are included. After practicing and working on their designs on paper, participants can work on creating a special design on a beautiful Silk Habotai Scarf. Partipants will take home 6 artworks and 1 scarf.
