On the 20th of March, at the gorgeous St. Regis The Palm, we will be painting 'Sunflowers' by Van Gogh. Looking forward to see you all there!
Sunflowers was the picture that Van Gogh was most proud of. Yellow, for him, was an emblem of happiness – in Dutch literature, the sunflower was a symbol of devotion and loyalty.
Using just three tints of yellow ‘and nothing else’, Van Gogh achieved a glorious harmony of colours. It is the painting that is most often reproduced on cards, posters, mugs, tea-towels, and stationery.
