Alserkal takes part in the Dubai Food Festival with What The Food, a dynamic celebration of the city’s gastronomical concepts.
The Avenue intersects its homegrown culinary concepts with special pop-up food concepts on 7-10 April from 3 - 10PM. Featuring some of Dubai’s best creative and culinary entrepreneurs, Alserkal presents supper clubs, art and culinary workshops, innovative culinary experimentation and more.
Join Chef Halawa’s supper club, A Night in Palestine, on 7-8 April as he takes guests on a culinary journey. Expanding on the story and origin of each dish during his supper, the chef uses culinary arts as a way of remembering home, finding comfort in home-cooked traditional Palestinian and Jordanian dishes. In collaboration with Palestinian artist Hazem Harb, this supper club will also have a peek into Harb’s artistry, which negotiates, in part, between a migrant and his lost home.
On 10 April, dine with Chef Vikram, from The Curry Bureau (TCB), for a lunch with a carefully designed menu. TCB is a modern and contemporary take on Indian and Coastal Cuisine, using fresh and premium ingredients like Omani Prawns and premium tenderloin beef cuts. TCB’s brand is minimal, quirky yet comforting which reflects the food and the feeling it brings.
Outside of these supper clubs, pop up concepts such as Good Vibes Market, Akiba Dori, Organic Souk, Cheese Onboard and more invigorate the lanes of our Avenue with their delectable selection culinary treats. With food concepts complemented by workshops from our homegrown concepts such as thejamjar, Tashas, Âme Artistic Studio, Al Kass Ceramics, film screenings by Cinema Akil, and gallery tours, What The Food 2021 satisfies the culinary and creative palette of anyone who walks through the Avenue.
