Pakistan is currently at the forefront of the harshest consequences of climate change. Heavy rains have caused severe flooding, leaving those affected in desperate need of shelter, clean water, daily food, medical care, and other necessities.
The situation on the ground is dire, and relief workers need all the help they can get to support those who have been displaced and impacted by the floods. Alserkal Avenue has joined hands with Pakistan Association of Dubai and Dar Al Ber Society to set up a Collection Drive to aid relief efforts, at Warehouse 46, Alserkal Avenue, from Friday, 23 to Sunday, 25 September 2022, 10AM - 7PM.
As part of the flood relief efforts, Alserkal Avenue are collecting the following items:
- New clothing for men, women, and children
- New shoes and socks for men, women and children
- New blankets and bedsheets
- New tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, and mosquito nets
- Dry rations - lentils, pulses, rice
- Hygiene essentials - soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, sanitisers, diapers
- Crockery
Please note that they are not able to accept any used items; all items gathered and collected will be dispatched to the Pakistan Association of Dubai (PAD) to support the people of Pakistan affected by the severe floods.
A cash donation box will also be located at Warehouse 46; you can also make cash donations by visiting the PAD website at www.pad.ae
