At Chubby Cheeks Nursery and Deira Private School, we understand the importance and value of appropriate language development in early and primary years.
We have organised two very special workshops for parents and children, on Saturday, 29th May, 2021
11am - Phonics and Reading Workshop - This Workshop demonstrates the use of phonics and the various aspects of language development (listening, speaking, reading and writing), various methods of enhancing the language, and different games that can be played at home with children to strengthen their vocabulary, and thus the language.
1pm - Speech and Language Training is included Free of Cost for FS1 and FS2 students at Deira Private School. When Children are developing speech they may make mistakes with the sounds they use. There is a typical order in which each speech sound develops and a range of ages when a child should be able to say each sound correctly. A speech sound delay is when speech is developing in a normal sequential pattern but occurring later than is typical. A speech disorder is when mistakes are not "typical" sound errors or are unusual sound errors or error patterns.
