The FCPL-Envoy Kiddie Rapid Chess Tournament is open to all kiddie chess players in the UAE aged 12 and below.

It will be held at the Dubai Chess Club on May 3 (Friday), from 2pm. Free snacks will be served. Raffle prizes and freebies will also be given away during the event.

(Note: A separate open blitz event will be held on the same day from 5:30pm.

SCHEDULE (May 3, Friday)
2-2:30pm - On-site Registration
2:30pm - Opening ceremony, briefing and start of tournament, followed by awarding ceremony

REGULATIONS
The FIDE Rules on Rapid Play and other regulations to be announced by the organisers of the tournament will apply.
Format: 5 Rounds Swiss System
Time Control: 10 minutes + 10 seconds increment starting on move 1
Tie-Breaks:
a) The result among tied players
b) Most number of wins
c) Median Buchholz
d) Buchholz
e) Most games with black

PRIZES
Champion: AED 300 plus trophy and medal
1st runner-up: AED 100 plus trophy and medal
2nd runner-up: AED 50 plus trophy and medal

Top Under-12: Medal
Top Under-10: Medal
Top Under-8: Medal
Top Under-6: Medal

Registration fee: AED 75 (inclusive of free snacks)
