If you can sing, play an instrument or perform stand-up comedy, now is your chance to participate in this exciting opportunity.

Simply record a maximum 90 seconds video of your talent, upload it on social media using the hashtag FromHomeToStage and tag dubaiopera.

The first prize winner will be selected as an opening act for one of Dubai Opera’s major performers in the upcoming season.
The second prize winner will have their own one-hour event that will be held at the Dubai Opera Studio.

Terms & Conditions:

Entering this competition (From Home To Stage) is subject to acceptance of the following Terms & Conditions:
The competition is open to residents of the United Arab Emirates aged 12 years or over.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Only one entry will be accepted per person/account. Multiple entries from the same person/account will be disqualified.
Closing date for entries will be Saturday 18 April 2020. After this date there no further entries to the competition will be permitted, unless upon official date extension by Dubai Opera.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

Rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
Record a video no longer than 90 seconds showcasing your talent.
Tag Dubai Opera and use the hashtag #FromHomeToStage.
Dubai Opera reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and the terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Dubai Opera’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Dubai Opera through its digital channels.
Dubai Opera is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

The prizes are as follows:
Prize 1: The winning participant will be chosen as the opening act for a performance of Dubai Opera’s choice within the upcoming programme.
Prize 2: The winning participant will be offered an hour of live performance at Dubai Opera Studio, free of charge. They will also be allowed to invite their friends and family, at a limited number of attendees which will be mutually agreed between the winner and Dubai Opera only.

The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen solely by Dubai Opera, no other third party whatsoever is eligible to do so.
Winners will be chosen from the entries/submissions received which are verified by Dubai Opera.
Winners will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook and/or letter shortly after the competition closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 3 days of notification, Dubai Opera reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the participant and pick a replacement winner.
Dubai Opera’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Dubai Opera will inform the winners of when and where the prize can be claimed. As stated, Dubai Opera is the sole decision-maker of what the prize, date, time, location, the act/show/event the prize will be associated with.
If the winners fail to adhere to Dubai Opera’s decision, Dubai Opera reserves the right to withdraw the prize immediately from the winners and pick a replacement winner.
The winners have 3 days after being notified to whether accept or reject the prize based on the prize shared information details by Dubai Opera.
The winners agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current GDPR data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the winners’ prior consent.

Additional Terms & Conditions:
Dubai Opera will judge the competition and decide on the winner after the submission period, which will be picked at certain criteria that Dubai Opera is the sole decision-maker on.
Participants must be following Dubai Opera on its social media channels and subscribed to its newsletter.
Dubai Opera shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
Dubai Opera reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
