The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Dmitry Yablonsky, brings a unique performance of operatic repertoire to Dubai Opera, with the highly acclaimed soprano Danielle De Niese and a programme of works by composers including Vincenzo Bellini, Francesco Cilea, Reynaldo Hahn, Giuseppe Verdi, Ernesto De Curtis and Dénes Buday.
Born in Australia to Sri Lankan and Dutch heritage parents, de Niese became the youngest ever singer to enter the Metropolitan Opera's prestigious Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the age of eighteen. Additionally, her debut recording for Decca, Handel Arias, was awarded the prestigious Orphée d'Or from and the much-coveted ECHO Klassik award and earned her a Classical Brit Award nomination for ‘Female Artist of the Year’. Danielle De Niese has performed in some of the world's most prestigious venues and Opera Houses, including The Royal Opera House, La Scala di Milano, Bolshoi Opera, Opéra National de Paris and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, amongst others.
