Performed by two people. It is often called a “game” that is played, not fought. Capoeira is always played with a smile on face symbolizing that the Capoeiristas are not afraid of the danger that is coming.
Children have the natural ability to pick up a new skill fairly easily and Capoeira a Brazilian martial art form is the ideal way for children from the age of 4 upwards to develop and strengthen their minds and bodies in a fun and playful way while getting exercise and learning a new skill.
In fact, Capoeira is the ideal way for children to also enhance their social skills as it is performed by two people and is an elegant combination of fight, acrobatics, music, dance and rituals. It is often called a ‘game’ that is played and not fought, with little or no risk of injury. The uniqueness of Capoeira is that it gives the entire body physical strength, power and flexibility while also giving the mind self-confidence, concentration, courage and creativity.
