Join us on our festive family hike through the Wadis of Shawka to a camel farm, where we will break for snacks and games!
One of our most popular events, the family hike is an excellent way for you and yours to explore the wadis of the UAE on a safe guided trek, learn about camels and life in the wilderness, and do so in style... with our complimentary Santa hat!
There are no age restrictions, but your little ones should be capable of being out for up to 4 hours.
HIKE DIFFICULTY: Easy
This is an easy hike on fairly flat (albeit sometimes uneven) terrain. It is suitable for children but NOT appropriate for strollers. We will have extra guides on this hike in the event any families wish to head back early.
Elevation gain: 50m
Distance: approx. 6km
MEETING TIME: We will meet at Wadi Shawka at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. Carpooling is not available for this hike. Expect to be back in Dubai by 2:30pm. (Distance from Dubai is 1hr 15mins.)
BOOKING A PLACE: Simply email your RSVP to trek@gulf4good.org. You will receive an email with hike details and payment link - please note payment is required to secure your place, we will confirm by email. PLACES ARE LIMITED and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
ADMIN FEE: AED100 + VAT for adults.
