‘Pacita Abad: I Thought the Streets Were Paved with Gold’ - exhibition

Join us for the second poetic wander, through the ongoing exhibition ‘Pacita Abad: I Thought the Streets Were Paved with Gold’ on January 15, 2022

In this iteration of @satahanan.co’s journeying programme ‘Filipino Poets and Their Poems,’ the prompt is the prolific works of artist Pacita Abad, whose vibrant art traverses through places and everydayness regardless of continent.

Three Filipino poets have been commissioned to respond to Pacita’s themes and artworks. Dale Ang, Jared Maxilom (@itsjade_here) and @rosankalea perform their poems through Abad’s exhibition, in an exploration of what it means to be at peace while in between places.

‘Pacita Abad: I Thought the Streets Were Paved with Gold’ runs until February 13, 2022. The first iteration of this poetry performance took place on December 10, 2021.

Dates: 15 January - 13 February
