Birth Story Listening process has been conceived for the storyteller* to tell their story in a safe place, without judgment, and with compassion.
We will get together in a sacred circle with other mothers to talk about your birth experience.
What you can expect:
+ A maximum of 4 mothers plus the facilitator.
+ Guided meditation.
+ Birth story labyrinth process.
+ This circle lasts around 2 hours.
+ Participants leave with a sense of being deeply heard and making new sense of their birth experience.
About the Mentor:
Gabi is Childbirth Mentor, Birth Story Listener and Mindfulness Consultant. When her own birth went haywire and all plans of an unmedicated vaginal birth were out the window, she was left with an incredible void. There was really nowhere she could tell her story, and whenever she tried expressing her feelings and even disappointment about how things went, Gabi was met with the same words: 'It could have been worse', or 'At least you have a healthy baby'. There was really no place for her to tell her story, no one to listen. That all changed. During her second pregnancy, she discovered the work of Pam England from Birthing from Within and decided to take her course on Birth Story Listening. Since then she has supported many mums, doulas and midwives by giving them her undivided attention and guiding them in a self-discovery process where they come out changed. 'It's my passion, pleasure and privilege to hold sacred space for women to tell their story after having a challenging birth.' Gabi.
