Our PlayMatters Parent-Toddler Playgroup starts its OUTDOOR season after the midbreak, on 20 October
We will meet every FRIDAY till Xmas, spending morning playing outdoors together: parents, toddlers, and me as a playgroup leader. Can't wait!
My program is based on #RIE approach, "Parents And Children: The 2nd year" program, and the Play Pedagogics method, with some ideas from Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio systems.
Each playgroup will last 2 HOURS, including settling in, a program for both children and their parents, and snack time.
There will be a WHATSAPP group for sharing photos, informational resources, recaps of each session, support from the group leader, and parents chatting.
In case of a missed session, this group will help to catch up (make-ups are not possible).
Each session mostly consists of PLAY: self-directed in a purposefully set-up space, and sometimes leader-directed.
We propose freedom of movement and exploration, freedom of participation and pace of playing - with special attention to age-appropriate boundaries (which is a very important topic for this age).
For whom: toddlers born around 1 year old (born in June-November 2022) plus their parents (1-2 per each child)
Maximum of 8 toddlers in a group.
Venue: Nature Escapes Al Barari by @natura.tribe
Time: Fridays, 9.00 - 11.00
Term 1: 20 October - 15 December (with a 2-weeks break for the National holidays)
Payment: 1000 AED for Term 1 (7 weeks), paid in advance via bank transfer
