Brothaus celebrates the ‘Pancake Day’ with a special week dedicated to this wonderful dish.
From these humble origins the pancake travelled far and wide, warmly welcomed by people of different cultures and creeds, and adorned with new toppings and ingredients to give it the unique characteristics of the adopting region.
In Germany the humble pancake is much loved, and lends itself to an infinite combination of toppings, tastes and textures.
The pancake week will run from 19th to 25th February from 7.30 am to 11 pm with a special menu that combines both sweet and savory options.
The pancakes or ‘PFANNKUCHEN’ In German, are served in a big pan and are good to share.
The menu has options for those with a sweet tooth like the ’Berries Heaven’ a combination of berry compote, nuts, fresh berries and vanilla sauce and great savory options like the ‘Nurnberger Pancake’ served with the traditional German sauerkraut and Nürnberger sausages.
