Join us for a summer intensive and experience the wonderful world of improvisation!
Our Online Theatre Summer Camp for Young Improvisers is a fast-paced, exciting week of theatre where performers aged 12-16 can explore the different styles of improv that dominate the writing, acting and comedy worlds today.
Improvisation has been popularised by the TV show Whose Line is it Anyway? and is a skill learned by performers, teachers, business managers, creative experts and children all around the world. It’s also a lot of fun!
Our Online Summer camp caters for all levels of improvisor, from beginners to more experienced players. Together we’ll learn and refine performance skills by playing drama games, doing scene work and exploring a variety of improv exercises that unleash children’s natural creativity and humour. All in the comfort and safety of your home, on Zoom. It will be a week filled with self-expression and spontaneity, where children will learn to be better listeners and storytellers – skills they can take back to school after the holidays are over.
We’ll explore characterisation, stagecraft and storytelling, all inspired by our imaginations, and in a thrilling finale to the week, we’ll end with a digital showcase, performed by our Young Improvisers for friends and family.
Improv is a great way to become a better risk-taker and increase self-confidence, as well as being a wonderful introduction to theatre and performance.
