It Takes Two to Talk – The Hanen Program for Parents of Children with Language Delays
Suitable for parents of young children (birth to age 5) with language delays, It Takes Two to Talk® (ITTTT) is an evidence-based training program that teaches parents, step-by-step, how to become their child’s most important language teacher. In a small, personalized group setting, parents learn practical strategies to help their children learn language naturally throughout their day together.
Dates: Tuesdays: Feb 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th/ March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
Time: 9:30am – 11:30am
Program Structure:
- 1 individual pre-program consultation session with each family
- 8 x 2-hour weekly group training sessions
- 3 individual coaching sessions with each family during the program
Investment: AED 3,300 (+ AED 250 for program book or DVD)

Parents will walk away with enhanced skills to:
- Recognize their child’s stage and style of communication
- Identify what motivates their child to interact in order to get reciprocity and conversations started
- Adjust everyday routines to help their child take turns and keep interactions going
- Follow their child’s lead to build his/her confidence and encourage communication
- Add language to interactions with their child to help with the understanding of language and then use when ready
- Tweak how then play and read books with their child to help him/her learn language
- Change the way they speak to their child so that he/she understands and learns new words
About the facilitator: Rogaiyah Hamidaddin M.A., CCC-SLP (USA), Speech and Language Therapist (English & Arabic)
Rogaiyah Hamidaddin is a US-trained pediatric speech-language pathologist with dual Masters degrees in Speech Language Pathology and Applied Behavior Analysis. Her expertise includes the assessment and treatment of receptive and expressive language impairments, learning disabilities, troubles in articulation, and social communication difficulties in children 18 months to 18 years. She has extensive experience in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in one- to-one and group intervention settings.
