Wildlife Photography Exhibition

Celebrate the opening of Beitfann with an incredible Wildlife Photography Exhibition by Dr. Harold Vanderschmidt.

The Living Planet Report from WWF discovered that the population of vertebrate species has dropped by more than half in 40 years. We will be highlighting the critical need for conservation with our very first exhibition at Beitfann. The exhibition explores the connection between animal conservation and sustainability in light of the Living Planet Report 2018. The Photographer uses animal photography as a call to action.

Born in West-Berlin in 1955, Dr. Harold Vanderschmidt has had an extensive medical career as an Orthopedic Surgeon across the world. However, he developed a passion for animals developed after discovering the work of Prof. Grizmek, Jaques Custeau, Prof. Hans Hass and Prof. Eilb - Eiebsfelt. Inspired by these great researchers, Vanderschmidt embarked on a mission to present the critical situation of animal conservation across the world through his photography.

The exhibition runs from January 19th to February 9th, 2019
