As you make the switch from plastic to paper, save your plastic shopping bags for this workshop, in which multimedia artist Noura Ali Ramahi demonstrates how they can be recycled as art.
Participants will layer plastic bags with different designs and colors to create collages that symbolize the importance of environmental conservation.
Much of Noura’s own work is driven by higher causes, including two exhibitions in 2016 that raised funds for the Future Center for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi and the UNHCR.
