NUS Alumni Orchestra

The National University of Singapore Alumni Orchestra (NAO), formed in 2016, is the alumni orchestra of the NUS Symphony Orchestra (NUSSO). At its core, NAO comprises a dedicated group of alumni who strongly believe in furthering the NUSSO tradition of bringing music to the community and allowing all to enjoy classical music.

Vision:

To be a platform for members to continue striving for musical excellence and to engage the community in musical appreciation and education
To promote the musical appreciation among the public by giving audiences the tools to appreciate classical music.
To foster a community of alumni that gives back by extending the NUSSO brand and tradition beyond the boundaries of school.

NAO frequently organises concerts that are suitable for audiences of all ages.

At NAO they believe in reaching out to the audiences in different ways to help them appreciate classical music even without the traditional classical music training that many musicians go through. The concerts include interactive sessions and narratives to provide the audiences with the tools to appreciate classical music better.
