Riverdance - 25th Anniversary Show is a powerful and stirring reinvention of the original stage phenomenon celebrated the world over for its Grammy award‐winning score and thrilling, passionate energy of its Irish and international dance.
Composer Bill Whelan re-recorded his mesmerizing soundtrack while producer Moya Doherty and director John McColgan completely reimagined the ground‐breaking show with spectacular lighting, projection, stage and costume design.
For over 25 years, nothing has carried the sensuality and spectacle of Riverdance, whose journey began as the interval act in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, performing an electrifying seven‐minute dance piece that developed into a full‐length stage show. Its fusion of Irish and International music and dance broke all box office records during its world première in Dublin. Next came London, which garnered an unprecedented reaction. The North American tour of 1996 sold out 8 shows at Radio City Music Hall, beginning a 2-decade tour of North America. Since its inception, Riverdance has packed theatres around the globe, performing live to more than 28 million people.
