Early Learning – Your Child’s Foundation
On the birth of a child many parents race to reserve a place at the elite school they think will best prepare their child for university. Yet most of them are unaware that their child’s fundamental abilities, talents and capabilities will be set and established years before the child arrives at the chosen school. A child’s core aptitudes and skills are embedded by age 7. In the first 3 years, a child’s brain will treble its weight and establish a thousand trillion nerve connections. These early years are the time for stimulation and education. If your child has artistic talent, a head for mathematics or a flair for languages it will be set by the time of their seventh birthday party. What can you do to give your child the right foundation? How can you set your child’s education on the right path? Where is the best place to start?
That’s where Hummingbird Early Learning Centre comes in. Hummingbird operate a leading edge early education centre at the DIFC.
Hummingbird Early Learning Centre is staffed with qualified teachers and it follows the UK Early Years’ Foundation Curriculum. Hummingbird Early Learning Centre aims to lay the foundation for excellence in education by giving your child the intellectual, creative and social stimulation all children crave.

Baby care (0-1 year)
Hummingbird Early Learning encourages exploration and investigation through play at our home-away-from-home environment. With mirrors, treasure baskets and soft plush toys, they provide plenty of opportunities for sensory exploration at our centres. Hummingbird baby classes feature playful interactions including songs and rhymes, as well as physical experiences such as bouncing, rolling, rocking and splashing both indoors and outdoors.
Toddlers (1-2 years)
Hummingbird Early Learning offers intense care and attention to make sure your child is looked after in safe and enjoyable surroundings. Toddler classes are a hive of activity, with children engaging in messy play with gloop, water and sand play, and singing nursery rhymes. Moreover, Hummingbird Early Learning recognises the importance of planning activities for younger children which enhances their journey as they begin to walk, talk, listen and explore.
Early learning (2-3 years)
Promoting language and communication skills, we encourage children to talk with their friends and teachers and share what they see, hear, think and feel. Children learn new words through stories, nursery rhymes and singing songs. Through art and craft activities such as painting and ‘messy play’, children develop their fine motor skills which also enables them to identify different materials, colours and textures.
School preparation (3-4 years)
Hummingbird offers Foundation Stage One (FS1) of the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to children from 3 to 4 years old, promoting Language, Personal & Social Development through four areas of learning – Mathematics, Literacy, Knowledge of the World and Expressive Arts. Activities are planned around the children’s interests and help develop independence and self-confidence.
