MMS 2018 Summer Band Camp Program:
Each day you’ll have an exciting mix of individual instrument lessons, essential fundamentals workshops, educational music games and band rehearsals.
Essential fundamentals workshops featuring professional performance skills, perfect practice, warming up safely, stage presence and choreography, instrument care, reading chord charts and essential music listening skills.
Full Details:
Date: Weekly starting July 8th until August 2nd
Weeks run Sunday – Thursday
Time: 09:00 – 14:00 daily
Venue: Modern Music School, Mazaya Business Tower, First Al Khail St., JLT (full address below). Free parking available.
Fee: AED 850 per week.
Age: Students aged 7+ years of all levels, including absolute beginners. That means even if you’ve never played before but always wanted to.
Special Event - Thursday Live Concert: Each week the bands will perform their shows live in our performance room. These concerts are open to the general public free of charge.
Weekly Schedule - the perfect blend of fun, learning and social engagement in a safe environment, delivered by industry professionals. Each week will feature a new song and artist, meaning you’ll be able to come back the next week.
- Daily – Greeting, instruments lesson, practical theory class, music games and band rehearsals.
- Day 1 – Setting expectations, warm-up lesson, how to learn the songs
- Day 2 – perfect practice, additional practise and rehearsal time
- Day 3 – Stage presence, choreography and instrument care.
- Day 4 – Essential music listening skills and show preparation
- Day 5 – Dress rehearsal and Live Concert!

Spaces are limited, bands will be between 5-10 members and assembled according to level and age.
