The Ripe Market is back for its second season at the Academy Park, Umm Suqeim!
The Park will be open 7 days per week with the Ripe Market running every Friday 9 am-7 pm & Saturday 10 am-7 pm.
As part of our lineup this year, we’ll have 7 permanent cafés open 7 days a week, a dedicated dog park, Just Play will run a sports academy all throughout the week, and a Garden Centre is set to open too. To add to the activities, our team have a program full of fun & games to keep us busy till the very end.
The Ripe Market at Academy Park readies itself for its next season outdoors with two newly-opened Just Play, five-a-side football fields. Open from this month for corporate, private and birthday-party bookings, the latest attractions are a great way to keep the little, as well as big ones, busy and entertained.
As the weather cools, Dubai residents are desperate to step outdoors. Whether spending the morning shopping and dining at the Ripe Market, or just looking for a healthy and fun day out, the Just Play attractions at Academy Park have something for everyone. Get ahead of the queue and book online for corporate events, a footie game with the lads, or as the perfect venue for a birthday party. The two flood-lit fields, fitted with astroturf accommodate five-a-side games, and are the ideal spot for a weekend out with the whole family. Guests are invited to relax, soak in the good weather and enjoy the tasty treats at the Ripe Market, whilst extending the excitement with Just Play.
“Just Play has always been dedicated to healthy, fun activities for the whole family,” noted CEO and Co-founder, Anouar Idrissi. “The added five-a-side football fields are a perfect way to bring everyone together and enjoy the best of Dubai weather.” With its central location, the Academy Park is ideally situated for hosting birthday parties. It offers all the fun of a Just Play experience in an outdoor setting. Parents will love the respite whilst their children test and improve foundational skills including climbing, swinging and balancing.
With F&B offerings, an on-site dog park and lots of parking, the venue is a great spot to step outdoors on weekends and relax without stress. Corporates can avail discounted rates for long-term bookings, whilst weekend birthdays bookings are available through early reservations. Adults are welcome to try the expanded Ninja Warrior course to test their
strength and stamina, or just enjoy some healthy, active fun.

2. Free Vinyasa Yoga Class: with our qualified teacher Teresa. Start your morning right! Join us this Friday from 9am-10am for a free community yoga class at the Ripe Market, Academy Park. Teresa will be teaching a Vinyasa Flow class under the lush green palms of the park.
3. Clay & Play: Get your kids’ hands messy and creative juices flowing when they join in the clay workshop this Friday, all day, 9am – 7pm. Build your little ones’ imagination and fine motor-skills with Jumping Clay’s air-drying clay. Big bonus! Their clay creations last forever and if you throw it to the floor, it jumps.
4. Busy Kids: It’s going to be a fun and busy day for kids this Friday with Busy Kids. Bringing a colourful and bright array of activities for your little ones this Friday at the Ripe Market, Academy Park from 9 am-7 pm.
5. Let The Record Play: The Raw Music Store will be bringing over 1,000 vinyl records to the Ripe Market, Academy Park. This Friday, get the satisfaction of digging through some of the rarest record singles or just drop by to listen to some good music, playing from an old school vinyl player.
6. Grow ‘n Green: Let’s teach our kids to make the world a greener place - one tree at a time! Grow ‘n Green will be at the Ripe Market this Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, bringing their gardening kits for kids. A perfect way for kids to get started!
