Join the Winter Camp at Sheikh Zayed Road Nursery/Jumeirah Beach Residence Nursery
Offer your child a fun, festive and educational experience different from their usual preschool day. Children will absolutely love our Winter Camp that is set in a relaxed environment complementing their usual preschool experience. Each one of the three-weeks has its own theme and special focus, with staple Safari Kid programs – such as STEAM. Masterchef Cooking, and LEGO Robotics – that all further enrich your child’s experience.
1st week (Dec. 16-20):
Winter Wonderland Safari Kid will be snowed in for the first week of camp. We will take a look at winter around the world. How do people and animals keep warm in winter? How can an igloo made of snow and ice keep Eskimos protected? We will grow snow crystals and make puffy snowflakes. Children will learn about animals living in arctic habitats and about hibernation. If all that snow and ice gives us cold feet, we will warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows and curl up indoors by the pretend fire.
2nd week (Dec 23-27):
Winter Festivals Around the World – Join the festive celebration at Safari Kid. Christmas, Chinese Dongzhi Festival, Hindu Pancha Ganapati, Winter Solstice, New Year’s Eve, Scandinavian Yule, and the Iranian Shab-e Yaldā are just some of the festivals people celebrate around the world in December. Candy canes, Christmas trees, fireworks, music, and dance, or light being victorious over darkness are just some of the symbols of these festivals. Children will participate in fun hands-on activities and craft projects related to various celebrations, read festive stories, and sing festive songs.
3rd week (30 Dec- 3 Jan):
Winter Olympics:
Safari Kid Winter Olympics
During the third week, children will immerse themselves in the spirit of the Winter Olympics. We will kick off the week with an opening ceremony and participate in STEM challenges related to winter sports such as snowboarding, curling, speed, and figure skating. Age appropriate and fun challenges, a dedicated pretend play zone, arts and crafts, and cooking activities will all have an Olympic spin on them. We will close the week and our winter holiday program with a closing ceremony and Olympic party.
