Multilingualism in Young Children presented by Beryl C. Jones, Senior Speech & Language Therapist on Thursday, 8th February 2018, 9am to 10am
This talk will provide examples of how a multilingual child may present in the nursery/classroom setting. It will help identify if a child’s communication presentation is due to a language difference or a communication difficulty with speech and/or language.
Building Blocks For Communication presented by Beryl C. Jones, Senior Speech & Language Therapist on Tuesday, 27th February 2018, 9am to 10am.
This talk is aimed at parents, carers and guardians of younger children who are developing their language skills. It will provide introductory information about things & activities to consider in order to help maximise the child’s understanding and communication.
Stammering presented by Beryl C. Jones, Senior Speech & Language Therapist on Thursday, 15 March 2018, 9am to 10am.
This talk will provide introductory information about Stammering theories, common dysfluency presentation (normal dysfluency) versus diagnosis of stammering, strategies to support improved fluency, different therapy approaches and when to recommend Speech-Language intervention.
There will also be a Q&A session after the talk.
